Thermally broken inserts and French doors installed with high spec Low E glass in to existing 1950s timber frames in Otumoetai, timber mullions remained in place to give a more sympathetic look to the era of the home. Our clients commented on how warm, dry and functional the windows and doors are now.
This project involved retro-fitting double glazing into existing 1980’s aluminium joinery. For our lovely customers in Welcome Bay, we vastly improved their outlook by removing vision rails in the sliders to give them a clean, uninterrupted view of their stunning backyard. Combining the double-glazing retrofit with new slider handles and patio bolts for extra security gave our customers the ultimate result - warm, dry, quiet and secure!
For this project we used high clarity Low E double glazed units, retro-fitted into existing 2000’s aluminium joinery at the beautiful Tanners Point. We took out the lower fixed windows at this home to give a modern full height glass look. Our customer was very impressed, commenting on how it made the room feel a lot larger. New slider wheels, backing rubber and high spec Low E double glazed units gave the feel and performance of new joinery.
This iconic Mount Maunganui home deserved the very best and we used 146 individual double-glazed units installed into existing 1990’s aluminium joinery. The project used a combination of high spec Low E glass, grey tint and sound reduction glass throughout. The house is now warmer in winter, cooler in summer and significantly quieter all year round.
This iconic home has been in the Mount longer than most in the area. The project added thermally broken inserts installed alongside the standard double glazing into existing 1950s timber joinery. Timber mullions were left in place as keeping as much of the existing timber was our clients request, they repurposed the timber that was removed to fit out the interior of their boat which was a great touch. Our clients commented on how amazing the reduction in heat loss has been and how the reduced condensation has been so significant.
This project added grey tinted double glazed units installed into existing 2005 Aluminium joinery. Replacement sliders, butt glazed units along with shaped units - this job had it all! The reduced glare achieved by installing tinted double-glazed units has made this lovely orchard home in Te Puna a more comfortable place to be when the morning sun hits.
