What Does Like-for-Like Mean?

  Equivalent glass types, Low-E coatings, solar control performance, spacer systems, gas filling and relevant thermal performance.
• Window systems
  Comparable materials, components and retrofit systems.
• Installation methods
  The proposed installation process, preparation, finishing and extent of work, particularly for existing timber windows.
• Scope of work
  The same windows, doors, quantities and included services.
• Total price
  The complete quotation, including GST and applicable installation costs.

Products do not necessarily need to be from the same manufacturer, provided their relevant specifications and performance are genuinely equivalent.

A Special Note About Timber Windows

Retrofitting double glazing into existing timber windows can involve different installation methods, depending on the condition and construction of the windows.

Different companies may approach the preparation, glazing installation and finishing work differently.

Our Price Promise takes these differences into account to ensure we're comparing genuinely equivalent work.

Where installation methods differ materially, we'll explain the differences and help you understand what is included in each quotation.

How Our Price Promise Works

If you receive a genuine lower written quotation for equivalent glazing specifications and comparable installation work, simply share it with your Kiwi Double Glazing consultant before accepting our proposal.

We'll review the quotation, assess any differences and explain them clearly.

Where there are material differences, particularly in the installation method for timber windows, we'll explain those differences and discuss the options available.

Our goal is to ensure you're making an informed decision and can choose Kiwi Double Glazing with confidence.

Price Promise Conditions

1. The competing quotation must be genuine, current, in writing and issued by an independent professional double glazing provider operating in the relevant service area.
2. The quotation must relate to the same property and substantially identical scope of work.
3. The glazing products, specifications and installation work must be genuinely equivalent or comparable as described above.
4. The competing quotation must be available for the customer to accept at the stated price.
5. The Price Promise applies before the customer accepts the Kiwi Double Glazing quotation and does not retrospectively change an agreed contract price.
6. Where a quotation is not directly comparable, Kiwi Double Glazing will explain the material differences and may provide an alternative proposal for the customer's consideration.

We will assess all qualifying requests fairly and in good faith.
